Project Plates
One of our biggest success stories. The Plates project was carried out in partnership with our client, where together, we created a unique, automated system, which solved a recurring problem in his company.
The proposal
The Plates project started from the need that our client, an American dealership, faced in his daily life. The idea presented was a challenge for us, gaining our attention at the same time, so we started looking for technological solutions that would help this need.
Craig Clark is a person who was unaware of new technologies. He presented us with the idea of developing a safe with biometrics to remove license plates from cars, which his dealership had, organized and secured by his team.
The problem
In the US, dealership owners receive a limited number of license plates from the government to use on their cars. Remembering that Americans by law, cannot drive on public roads with a car without a license plate.
In this way, car stores need to keep a stock of license plates in case they need to drive on public roads, for test drives, repairs or technical visits.
Our client’s biggest problem was being able to control how these signs were used, by whom they were being removed from the store, how long this sign has been on the street and for what reason. A problem that not only he, but large American dealerships face in their daily lives.
The solution
That’s how Hisoft brought the Plates project to life. We developed a unique, innovative system that met this need in an efficient way, solving future problems.
We produce from the design, of a safe, where all the plates will be organized, to the biometric reader system on the outside, where it will be used to release together with the fingerprint of the store salesperson or responsible employee.
In this way, the store owner will be able to follow through his smartphone or desktop who is responsible and how long he has had the card.
In this project we have all our work fronts: prototyping, embedded development, desktop and mobile software development and product designer.
